01
Managed API

Miss Blue

Move toward one dedicated line, one inbox and one API

Miss Blue is a useful alternative when the gap in your current setup is the handoff between automation and a teammate. The dedicated identity and Message Center share the same conversation surface.

Watch for: Confirm the transfer process and history plan; its GHL beta connection does not import existing history or groups.

Read the full review $99/line/month promotional rate
02
Managed API

Sendblue

A dedicated inbound API path with a distinct outbound tier

Sendblue is an alternative for a team that wants a documented inbound production line and event interface. Its outbound Enterprise scope should be considered separately.

Watch for: The free sandbox omits callbacks and webhooks, so it cannot stand in for a production migration rehearsal.

Read the full review $100/line/month inbound; outbound quoted
03
Managed API

Linq

A broader channel surface for a product that outgrew a narrow sender

Linq documents iMessage, RCS and SMS, plus richer interaction features. It can be an alternative when the application needs a wider conversation model.

Watch for: Ask for the specific API and channel scope; a general app subscription is not the Partner API quote.

04
Managed API

Blooio

A plan-aware alternative with explicit number and direction choices

Blooio’s plan table separates shared, dedicated and inbound-only numbers. That makes it useful when the current problem is an unclear production identity or permission.

Watch for: Webhook behavior varies by environment and endpoint; confirm it for the exact account you buy.

05
Managed API

LoopMessage

A sender configuration shaped around a narrow requirement

LoopMessage’s dedicated sender options let a team select phone identity, fallback and initiation separately. It can fit a migration with a deliberately small scope.

Watch for: Required options and warm-up can make the new sender behave differently from the old service.

06
Managed API

Photon

An alternative with self-hosted and managed stages

Photon offers open-source self-hosting, managed shared plans and dedicated Business lines. It is useful when the team is reconsidering who should own the infrastructure.

Watch for: A locally hosted prototype and a dedicated hosted line are different operating arrangements.

07
Managed API

messages.dev

An agent-oriented alternative for customer-initiated conversations

messages.dev exposes REST, a TypeScript SDK and signed incoming events. Its explicit contact-first rule gives an inbound assistant a clear production boundary.

Watch for: It is not a drop-in choice for a workflow that initiates arbitrary first-contact messages.

Read the full review 50 free test messages/day; confirm paid pricing
08
CRM platform

Project Blue

A sales-platform alternative with assisted implementation

Project Blue describes CRM-oriented messaging and onboarding support. It is relevant when the team wants help moving the operating workflow, rather than only a replacement API.

Watch for: Confirm the exact CRM support, setup payment and line-volume commitment on the order.

Read the full review $300 single line / $250 per line at 2–10 lines; setup extra
09
CRM platform

Tuco AI

A CRM and AI operating model to evaluate as a whole

Tuco AI describes manual, copilot and autopilot work modes, alongside CRM integration and a knowledge-base assistant. It can be an alternative for a team changing its response process.

Watch for: Confirm the tier and setup cost; the provider’s universal Apple-limit and competitor claims are not independent evidence.

Read the full review Confirm monthly tier; published $335 setup
10
Own devices

myCRMSIM

A customer-operated device route for an existing CRM

myCRMSIM describes connecting iPhone numbers and an iMessage account to a CRM. Its annual license can suit a team already prepared to operate the supporting devices.

Watch for: A device-backed license transfers operating work to your team; it is not a managed number rental.

Read the full review $290/year per line at 1–10 lines; devices and carrier extra

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

The questions worth carrying over.

Does an alternative preserve my existing number?

Only if a supported transfer or number arrangement is actually agreed. Do not infer portability from an API similarity. Ask both providers about the exact number and retain a separate launch plan if a new identity is required.

Will old message history move with the number?

A number transfer, a contact import and a conversation-history migration are separate events. Second Route does not assume any provider automatically moves all three.

How does the switch finder choose results?

It excludes the provider you identify as your current option, then filters our editorial list by the buying model you select. Its results are a starting point for reading, not compatibility or performance test results.

Is this an independent publisher?

Second Route is operated by the team behind Miss Blue. We benefit if you choose that product, and our articles state practical limitations alongside its strengths.
